In my desire to be fit and trim, not skinny, but fit; flat abs, strong arms, etc. I have tried to “keep” to some kind of fitness plan. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. And the thoughts about became unpleasant…my reminder popping up became a reminder that I am not exercising. It now seemed like a chore, something that I “have” to do…but find myself unable to do due to other things coming in the way. I know that I must do something if I want to see any results…Can I get an “AMEN!” out there? Well, today, as other times, the Lord reminded me that “…bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” (1 Timothy 4:18) That revelation does not give me an out concerning exercising, but it does give me a sense of approval in that, my pursuit of Him, doing the things required of me, is godliness at work, and will cause me to profit unto all things…that He is going to work it out for me…work all things together for my good; if that means He’s going to make the time, make the way, remove something’s for me so that I can do what I must do, or (let’s not limit Him) even supernaturally assisting me by making my stomach flat and firm...knowing that WITH GOD all things are POSSIBLE…to THEM that believe. Since the Lord provided water without rain, water from a rock, it would not be the most outrageous thing He has done, right?! It’s interesting while thinking on all that… as the “projected” thoughts and beliefs opposite to believing faith tell us…to have life and long life, you have to exercise…yet, we see according to God’s Word which is Truth and does not return void, says, exercise profits little compared to godliness. Godliness produces everything we need and want; profitability for ALL things. I am assured that as I worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness, doing those things that please Him, and in which He leads and guides me to do, I will have all that I need and desire…without the struggle! This is a word of encouragement for not only those who want to get fit and trim, or even for those who want to gain a bit, here and there, but for all of us in the process of life and you are experiencing a struggle. I was led to watch the following video and since watching it, I see a beautiful vibrant woman speaking who shares how she had weight lost surgery and showed how it left her with excessing skin and what she is doing to conceal it.
