In my role as one of the Admins here on the LBPS Facebook page John Bushby sent me a private message with his thoughts about the inappropriateness of INDYREF postings and LBPS Facebook. We had a brief dialogue and here is what I said to him as my initial comment. I too had to stop and think about this as Im aware that there are very likely to be members and friends here with a range of opinions. I came to the conclusion that I didnt want to make a knee-jerk reaction and put a block on either YES or NO supporters. I felt that as long as they are (i) putting up posts that are piping-related and (ii) that they are not being overly triumphalist or offensive to the other side then I could see no legitimate reason to stop people expressing their sentiments about what is a historic episode in Scottish history. However, Im very open to suggestions about alternative ways of responding to it. Comments are welcome here from all sides of this discussion.
