In my sociology class, they are discussing the problems with minimum wage. The two they mention are: It fails to keep pace with the cost of living, and doesnt solve issues of low wage workers not being paid overtime or workmans comp. I have some questions of my own. Does minimum wage cause inflation? Does raising the minimum wage cause layoffs? These two question raise the question of the validity of the minimum wage. Please keep in mind that I am a woman and I have worked for minimum wage before.
