In my studies of the Book of Mormon Ive been thinking a lot about Gods love for us. When I read 2 nephi 2:6-8, it touched me in a way it never had before. I pondered over this question for several days and my question was this; How could Christ cover all our sins from the past, present and future without knowing with a surety that we would make them? As I discussed with many people and seeking The Lord for guidance, the Spirit had deeply instilled a deeper understanding of The Atonement like Ive never felt or knew before. Since knowing that predestination wasnt something we believed in, yet understanding that God is all knowing, I came to a conclusion that helped me to tap into a glimpse of the infinite love our Savior felt for us. Jesus Christ like these verses state, fulfilled the entire law of the Father. What exactly does this mean? It means that He suffered every possible variable that could ever have come up in our lives; that could or would prevent us from being able to stand before the Father. Jesus Christ ultimately fulfilled the fulness of the law of the Father...but what does this mean for us as individuals? It means He covered our debt AND more! Jesus Christ covered every possible sin or mistake that could ever occur for you, for your neighbor, and even your enemy. He did this for every single individual person, sweating great drops of blood from every pore, until he completed the Fathers task that He was sent to do; that he volunteered to take on. Jesus Christ loves you so infinitely that He eliminated every possible prevention that could withhold you from inheriting the Kingdom of God. All he asks is that we accept His precious gift. How can we show Christ we accept Him as our Savior? What are some things we can do to show Him we are grateful?
