In my weekly magazine, THE WEEK, theres an interesting piece about the writer, Patricia Cornwell. She was raised in a conservative Christian community in N.C. The crime novelist was a generous contributor to the Republican Party in the 90s. She considered herself a friend of G. H. W. Bush whom she called Big George. However, today she is an Obama supporter and self-declared liberal. She says she wants to be a part of a group of people who are humane and inclusive.
