In order for the Earls men (Christopher/Topher, Woody, and myself) as well as my almost son-in-law (Branden) to look splendidly in the upcoming May wedding pictures, we have instituted a four-man Biggest Loser competition. Needless to say, all four of us have become a bit dough-y over the past few months (for me...years) and we need some incentive to trim the fat. Each man has ponied up $20 and at the end of the contest (which is April 30, 2014) the one who has lost the greatest percentage of weight will win $50 and the second place loser will earn $30 (its an $80 purse). We initiated this on Sunday (the first weigh-in). Yes...we are crazy to start this prior to the Christmas season but, hopefully, instead of grazing on 67 Christmas cookies at one setting (which, I for one, am so prone to do), maybe we (I) will only have two. So, for the next five weeks...Im looking at a diet of twigs and gravel and spending a good deal of time in the gym. Heres to a very productive competition!
