In order to determine whether you meet the requirements of the live-in caregiver program, you will need to provide the following documents: All the listed documents below are required to assess your application, which could be refused if you omit one of them. 1.Documents and information proving your professional experience in the field of the employment sought in Canada (if you have professional experience as a live-in caregiver. This includes reference letters from your employers (past and present), specifying the period of employment and a precise description of your performed tasks. The letters must also provide the name of the employer and the company, as well as the addresses and phone numbers at work and at home. 2.Documents and information proving any professional training received in the field of the employment sought in Canada (if you have received professional training as a live-in caregiver) Please do include details of the program et description of the curses you have followed, transcript of your marks as well as the diplomas obtained. 3.Documents and information proving your academic education (photocopy of all your diplomas from primary, secondary and post-secondary schools and your transcripts for the courses taken. 4.Police Clearance certificates for each of the countries where you have lived more than 6 months since you turned 18 years old, issued recently. 5.Your birth certificate and birth certificates for your children (if you have any). 6.You marriage or divorce certificate (depending on your family situation, if applicable). 7.Canadian Employer Income (optional) – you may include a copy of your potential employers Income Tax Notice of Assessment (NOA ) for the past 2 years. The fees required by the Canadian Government for the processing of your work permit application are CAD 150. These fees are NON-REFUNDABLE; even if your application is refused, these fees will not be returned to you. As the processing fees are non-refundable, we encourage you to ensure that you meet the requirements of the live-in caregiver program and submit the documentation to prove it. This means that you can read, speak, write and understand either French or English; that you have successfully completed the equivalent of a Canadian High School degree; that you have successfully completed at least 6 months of full-time training related to the intended field of work in Canada or that you have been employed full-time for at least one year (of which a minimum of 6 months has to be with the same employer), in the last 3 years, as a live-in caregiver or in a related field. If you think you do not meet these criteria, please let us know in writing. It is possible that you may have to undergo a medical examination (at your own cost and by a designated medical practitioner approved by the Canadian Government).
