In our Indian society what’s more shocking is when your relatives harass you. Because you never expect such an attitude and behavior from them. In fact the safest place for you is your home. But some animals will forever remain animals unless taught a lesson. I was in school, in probably 8th or 9th. my cousin ( not so close ) with his family visited my place. He being in his mid 20s . That was the very first time we met, because he earlier resided in other town and came to Baroda for his job. That day he saw me and stated staring like a hungry beast when no one noticed. I obviously felt uncomfortable and went inside ignoring him. After that day he visited very often and with this his activities also began. Trying to come closer, leaving no opportunity to touch my privates claiming that to be a mistake, coming from behind and saying ‘I love you’ . All these just left me in a shock and depression and I was helpless. I feared opening up because he was my cousin. One afternoon I was asleep in my room upstairs, everyone else being downstairs and asleep as well. He came over me to kiss me, I woke up in shock, got scared and shouted. He escaped and came in pretending to help. My level of frustration had increased so much that my mother sensed it. And asked me .i was reluctant in telling her but she forced me and thus I told her, and what she told me was : no relation is above the self-respect of any girl. That cousin was boycotted .beaten. When my father tried informing the police in front of him he broke down and apologized to everybody. From that time I realized it is very necessary for us to teach them a lesson, today its me tomorrow itll be someone else. This platform surely gives an encouragement to speak up, be bold, to be strong enough to reply back and not tolerate .we are no toys for men to play with. And for those who think these to be fake, well only those ppl know who experience, thus its even necessary to let them no to stop applying their brains as then there’ll be no difference btwn them and those animals.
