In our class tonight with the noble shaykh Muhammad Saeed Raslaan: Friday 17th Ramadan. While discussing the issue of Allah attributes and the verses the mention the hands of Allah. E.g. “And the Jews say, "The hand of Allah is chained." Chained are their hands, and cursed are they for what they say.” Sura maidah ayah 64 The shaykh said: The greed of the Jews is known, past and present. Even though you may see they have charity organizations today, they do not give anything except that they expect much more in return. The shaykh also said: Their greed is known even to the kuffar. Look to some of the writings of William Shakespeare, the play of The Merchant of Venice A Christian man defaulted on his payment owed to a Jew. With the matter before the court the Jew sought his bond, which was, if the Christian defaults he has to give a pound of flesh from his body. The judge granted the order on the condition that he agrees to forfeit the wealth owed to him. He readily complied and said: Most rightful judge! The judge told the Jew: Come prepared and bring a surgeon lest he bleeds to death. On the day the judge asked him: Is your knife sharpened? He said: Yes. The judge then told him there was one more issue. The bond states a pound of flesh, NO BLOOD. Should you spill a drop of blood, all your property and wealth will go to the state. Realizing what was happening the Jew said: ok give me the principal amount, my wealth owed to my. I will accept it now. The judge said: You shall have none of it, you gave it up, take a pound of flesh without a drop of blood. So he lost everything. This is up to where the shaykh mentioned tonight, but as the story goes on things got really bad in court for the jewish man. The point is (I say): Their greed and boosting is known throughout the world, past and present. Their oppression is witnessed and their assassinations are condemned from the east to the west. Their ambassadors are expelled and they don’t mind. They feel superior to everything created until they lie and speak lowly at the one who created them, as Allah says in the above ayah.
