In our latest Turning Point series, we feature Carolyn Van Hooten, 23, who is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is interning at The Herald newspaper in Jasper, Indiana. Carolyn is attending the New York Portfolio Review sponsored by the New York Times and the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism this weekend. The image that changed her outlook on photography — a photo from Stephanie Sinclairs series, Too Young to Wed.
