In our little political movement, Tea Party... liberty movement... whatever you wish to call it, it seems popular sport to attack in a personal way, those who you would (and often have) fight alongside, until they disagree with you on this matter, or the other. It would make much more sense, and would aid in keeping your 95% ally close to you, were you to attack or dismantle the idea, rather than to attempt to publicly humiliate and harm the reputation of, the person you are in disagreement with. The progressive loves it when we take each other down. Put your ego, and your desire to be someone, to the side. If you believe in what we fight for, and you are willing to fight in what ever manner your time and ability allows you, that should be enough for your ego. Its very high school like behavior for grown ass men and women to engage in. Creating political cliques, and posturing to push others out, does not make you an asset. Fortunately, few seem to engage in this kind of behavior. But enough do so that it is very frustrating to witness at times. Im not suggesting Kumbya unity and all that nonsense. Im suggesting the fight is bigger than us and if we feel individually important or not.
