In part, most Americans hate soccer simply because they are in a constant need to see points being scored with high frequency. Regardless of the fact that, in my opinion, the act of scoring with relative ease devalues the significance of scoring points. Americas sporting culture is sensationalized to the point that it requires a constant non-stop instant gratification at the expense of beautiful built-ups. This is partly why a substantial amount of Americans consume their pop culture in a zombified and passive way. For a lot of Americans, the idea of built-ups that last for more than 7 second just doesnt fit the American sporting model. At the end of the day its a preference of style dictated by cultural norms and expectations. GO TEAM USA!!!!!
