In partnership with Discovery Education, USC Shoah Foundation is offering a once-in-a-lifetime teacher professional program in Poland. For the Auschwitz: The Past is Present ITeach Professional Development Program, 25 educators will be chosen from around the world to take part in the 4-day workshop in Poland. Participants will spend two days in Warsaw, including a visit to the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, develop digital and media literacies and the ability to utilize testimony across their curriculum, meet with survivors of the Auschwitz camps, and participate in the 70th anniversary commemoration on January 27, 2015, at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum.
