In preparation for the upcoming 2013 Manaragat Festival: August Month-long City Fiesta Celebration, Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan being the over-all chair of the committee of the celebration met the Cultural Coordinators of the different schools under the City Division, Department of Education last July 31, 2013 at her office. With the assistance of Ms. Maribel Ruedas, ESP Designate for Cultural and Special Events of the City Division, the meeting was attended by Districts 1 to 5 for the Elementary, Silanga National High School, Catbalogan National Comprehensive High School, Pangdan National High School, Samar National School, Guinsorongan National High School, Antonio G. Tuazon Memorial High Tuazon, Eastern Visayas Regional Science High School, and Samar College. Said meeting was the finalization of schedules of cultural presentations of the said schools as well as the participation to the different competitions organized by the city government.
