In recent weeks and months, we’ve seen 2 groups of people who deserve the best when it comes to healthcare failed by the system: Veterans and Seniors. This article highlights Illinois’ poor performance in providing care to seniors: chicagobusiness/article/20140521/NEWS03/140529967/illinois-ranks-in-bottom-half-of-states-for-senior-health. Our seniors deserve better than this. Medicare is a vital program that must be protected. Reform is necessary but must not be done at the expense of our seniors.
