In response to the question, Are we better off now than during martial law?, my response is: everyday we could read about government shenanigans, widespread poverty,massive corruption. The difference is now we could freely criticize and expose and talk about the 1,001 things the government does that makes us angry enough to want to hurl them out of the window or simply wring their necks. We can freely criticize, complain about, attack, censure the P-Noy administration. Try doing those things under martial law. Got the drift? Even if the Marcoses and the cronies were plundering the national treasury, we could not speak out.... well, we could but at great risk to life, limb, and liberty.
