In the 45 plus years that I have been involved with supporting the KinKs ( Ray & Dave ) and all things associated with them and the fans around the world I have had to and still deal with thousands of people from around the world with multiple personalities and reasons for being a KinKs fan. I do my best to get along with everybody and make the right decisions but no matter how hard I try there are always going to be people I piss off, upset, say something or make a decision they are not happy with me about; One thing I know my aim and motives have always been, are and will always be true & to the good of & kause of kinkdom, my friends Ray & Dave and everything they are about and have stood for through out their career, and the same goes for all the fans out there and the people I have met and friends I have met in person or even those I have never met but are in contact with. Sure on occasion I have done the wrong thing or made a mistake but my intentions were always pure and for the good & never done maliciously with evil intent. If I screw up I apologize and when I am right and still upset someone I try to reason with them but sometimes no matter how hard I try there are going to be people who think Ive done them wrong and want to fight, but with the number of people I interact with my percentage rating of those who feel like that is very low and even Ray himself knows you are never and can never please all the people every single time - There are critics and music fans who don t like The KinKs, Ray and Dave, as there are for every band or anyone else - so again Rays advice here is spot on - You sing em the blues And then they ask for a happy tune, And when you start to smile theyll say gimme dat rhythm and blues, And when you give em dat rhythm and blues theyll simply smile and say We didnt want to hear you play, We didnt like you any way. Its very hard to please the people every single time, But look a little on the sunny side.
