In the ANC manifesto under the section, our key commitments to move South Africa forward, and the sub – section, Economy and Jobs. The ANC commits itself to; Address the needs of the youth for empowerment, education and job creation through a multi-pronged approach that creates job placements and internship schemes and sets aside 60% of employment and empowerment in infrastructure and other projects for youth and promote youth employment and training incentive schemes. This probably the most significant if not only commitment directed specifically to the plight of young people in our country. It therefore becomes incumbent on us as the members of the ANCYL to own this commitment and bring sufficient life to it, all this must take place on the backdrop of our rebuilding process reaffirming the dictum that “Every ANCYL member an Organiser, a Commissar”
