In the Baltimore area, the survey finds Hogan gets 47 percent of the vote to Browns 40 percent... The survey finds 62 percent of independents and 31 percent of Democrats believe taxes are too high in Maryland, and 70 percent of respondents want the next governor to repeal some of Gov. Martin OMalleys tax increases. As far as issues important to voters, improving the economy garnered the most response followed by reducing taxes, education, addressing wasteful spending, and cleaning the Chesapeake Bay.
