In the Christian traditions these voices were killed and devotion - TopicsExpress

In the Christian traditions these voices were killed and devotion to saints (ancestors of others) and angels were fostered. secondly, in other religious traditions communication with the ancestors are still practiced. while in the Christian tradition caution is given against praying (communicating with) the dead (ancestors) the tradition did not make a distinction between good ancestors (spirit) and bad ones. it is also clearly understood that any African tradition and practice was demonized and discouraged and legally banded in many country where European terrorist invaded and controlled including countries where to took the captured Africans to enslave them. in fact the barbaric European terrorist were so afraid of the African religions that they punished by torture and killing anyone who violated the ban on these rich African practices. having said this we can draw on the same Christian religion as a defences to remind them that they teach about the communion of the saints which in essence is the same as communicating with the good ancestors i.e. keeing communion with them. may the good African ancestors who lived the virtures of the creator come to our aid to seek the creator God more earnestly in to transform our thoughts, words, and actions while on earth that we will be rewarded with eternal life where they are in heaven at the end of our earthly journey, amen. good ancestors of Africa pray for us and with us. If you do not love yourself and celebrate me as African who will. We got to renew our African pride and extremely rich cultures and traditions. San Mfom Tuz
