In the Midst of Chaos, I heard my name: Yesterday was great. It was the first time I had Thanksgiving dinner at my home with just my husband and the kids. It was special because Im in an UNUSUAL season in my life. After dinner and a little football, Darin decides he wants to be a part of the CHAOS! He says LETS GO and the girls got excited because they know if they ask, DADDY is going to give! (Thats an entirely different lesson) Anyway we went to Walmart and it was CRAZY! The girls and I stood near the exit until my hubby got through all of the CHAOS! While we were discussing the madness all of a sudden I hear MRS. GRIFFIN, MRS. GRIFFIN! I turned around and there stood DK, my very first consumer at my group home. There stood a kid that was in the system his entire life, a kid no one wanted, a kid that had been through his share of heartache and pain, he stood there against all hope, there stood HOPE! He told me that he had a job and that he made it to 20yrs old. They said I wouldnt make it to 20 Mrs. Griffin but Im 20! God simply reminded me that in the midst of CHAOS, Hes still calling my name! He reminded me that HE GOT ME! I didnt go to Walmart for a deal, I went because God was speaking and Im listening! So on this day after Thanksgiving, Im thankful for the CHAOS!
