In the Movie! In the Movie the 10 Commandments, I was very impressed when I saw Moses raise his staff and the Red Sea immediately parted, from one side to the other. But in the Bible, there is a different account of it...Instead we see an account of Faith in Darkness, with Rewards in the Light. Exodus 14:13-22 But Moses said to the people, Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the LORD which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever. 14 The LORD will fight for you while you keep silent. 15 Then the LORD said to Moses, Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward. (NOTE:)16 As for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the sons of Israel shall go through the midst of the sea on dry land. (It seems like the Movie, Moses lift up your staff and the Red Sea will immediately part, but we see that this is the case, Later on) 17 As for Me, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them; and I will be honored through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen. 18 Then the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I am honored through Pharaoh, through his chariots and his horsemen. 19The angel of God, who had been going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them. 20 So it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud along with the darkness, yet it gave light at night. Thus the one did not come near the other all night. (Here we see that all night long God worked through the East wind to part the Red Sea and used the Angel of God to keep the Israelites safe from Pharoah and his men) 21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD swept the sea back by a strong east wind all night and turned the sea into dry land, so the waters were divided. 22 The sons of Israel went through the midst of the sea on the dry land, and the waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. (So we see that Moses did indeed raise his staff over the Red Sea, but it did not part Immediately, instead God used the East Wind, to not only part the Red Sea, but to dry out the bottom of the Sea, before the Israelites started to cross) So you see Moses lifted up his staff, in Faith, and the Red Sea did not immediately part, but no results were seen immediately, the results were seen the next day. So the Israelites spent a night in darkness before they got up to see the Red Sea parted and the Sea bed dried so they could cross. So Moses operated on faith by raising his staff, and God worked in the darkness of the night, to provide a way for them to escape from Pharoahs army for good. But kept the Israelites safe while He was doing it. Sometimes God works in our lives just like this. We desperately pray in Faith asking God for a way out of a situation, or a request that we want so much. And we dont Immediately see any action from God, but then in a day or two, we see the Results of God working. And not only did God help us, in what we asked, but He did so much more for us than we hoped for. But He did all of this while we were in the Spiritual Darkness waiting and wondering, Where is God? God wants us to have Faith when we pray or ask for something in His Will, EVEN WHEN WE DO NOT SEE ANYTHING HAPPENING IMMEDIATELY! Then our Faith is rewarded in a day or two, just as Israel got up the next morning and had a way of escape, and also a way to stop Pharoahs army from chasing them. So if you are in a period of Darkness and do not see God moving, after you have prayed in Faith....then wait with Faith, upon the Lord for the Results of His Work! ****Then you will be able to sing the Song of Moses...The First and Last Song in the Bible.....Exodus 15:1-21 & Revelation 15:3**** https://youtube/watch?v=m6dq8gLb-MU
