In the battle to save Gaza, we turn to the very people who created the problem. We ask Western governments to stop Israel and save Palestine. We hope that the west can be persuaded to take the Palestinian cause over Israel. A shepherd does not ask a wolf to guard his flock. Asking the west for help is an indictment of our state. We are so desperate for help that we plead to those who are responsible for the massacres. This desperation is a reflection of the ummah. We are not able to solve our problems because we accept the divisions the west created for us. I look forward to the day when Muslims do not need to beg others for help. May Allah fill us with strength, courage and dignity. For now, we lack all three.
