In the bible, the number (7) represents the number of completeness and perfection in both the spiritual and physical aspect. On September 7, 2014, heaven gained the patriarch of my family. He lived to be just two years shy of a century. Proverbs 3:1-2 says, “My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.” I believe my grandfather lived this daily. He always seemed peaceful and there was never a day that he seemed remotely rattled by life’s circumstances. I will never forget him saying, “how sweet it is!” and the tone is his voice when he said, I love you. Although he has left his earthly vessel to see all the glory of the Lord and he will be missed, I have an unexplainable peace about his departure. I can only say it is the perfect love and will of God. I lift up my family in prayer during this time….
