In the book we read 1356, the King of England at the time was Edward III. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_III_of_England Just found out from genealogy research my cousin did that Mom, Marc and I are direct descendants of Edward I his grandfather. Oh yeah, and also direct descendants of King Charlemagne. And, our direct descendant Isham Randolph was the maternal grandfather of President and author of the Declaration of Independence Thomas Jefferson. Going to walk with a little more pep in my step tomorrow knowing this. :)
