"In the course of my journey in life, I have come across people wearing different masks representing their true characters. You mostly encounter those who put self before others, some apparent while several hide under the guise of justification and "seeming" concern. There are even those who do not value you with the way they treat or deal with you while a few unbridledly display and shamelessly force their actions upon you. Also, you meet people who easily change their commitments no matter how insignificant they are, merely because they see no benefit for them but think more of the burden rather than the willingness to selflessly lend a helping hand without expectating anything in return. You do not discount too, those who vividly remember what good they had done to others and forget how others have helped them in the middle of a crisis. It is thus an endless battle upon oneself to remain true and compassionate or to be eaten by the illness which these people have unknowingly been plagued with. Life would have been a much easier journey for all of us if people would think less of themselves in terms of personal benefits and think more of others because it is the right thing to do. Self-absorbed, consuming individuals are the core ills of humanity. Therefore, I stand firm with my resolve to refuse to acquire the same illness, all in the spirit of sanity and joy.
