In the early hours of On Friday morning, Vandals set light to the recycling bin, which was full of cardboard, up against the shutter of ResGal. The fire spread through the shutter & into the building, destroying half of the stage, most of the dressing room above, the soundproofing, all of the electrics throughout & the plastic cladding on the ceiling. We are working as hard & fast as we can to get back upto full operating power but it will take couple of weeks. Please bare with us as we go through this challenging time. The fire service did an amazing job in containing & neutralizing the fire so the area damage is very localized & thus not totally catastrophic. Fortunately the soundproofing insulation & the fire retardant spray we used in the construction of everything helped keep the fire in one place. There is massive smoke damage everywhere & a huge ongoing clean up. We lost some things to the fire but luckily only a small percentage of what was there. We are still able to run the London School of Lucha Libre on the week nights & we even managed to pull off the main Lucha Britannia show on the evening of the fire, although some may have noticed a new look & strange smell or taste. We have only had to cancel a couple of events so far & everything on the calendar from Sept 5th onwards should be unchanged. Thank you for your continued support.
