“In the grand scheme of my short life, I can see how God has used hurt and pain to get me to where I am today. God has worked independently in my life through real people, in real time, and in real space. God works in HIS time, not in ours. Abraham must have thought God was crazy to ask him to move and leave his family. However, Abraham did not question “why” he just said “yes.” Sometimes we get angry, frustrated, and confused about things in our lives. We cannot see where we are going, we can only see where we have been and how good things “used to be.” Trusting God for the future is all we can do. It is what God wants us to do. He is still working today—through real time and real people to continue the promise of salvation. When God calls us to “do” or us to “go,” we need to listen. Our lives are a process filled with choices. Where we go and what we do depends on how we answer His call for our lives.”
