In the immediate aftermath of the killing, police described a stabbing victim; the reference to a severed head came in the first formal press conference later (https://youtube/watch?v=89chkJhoJBE). There wasnt any evidence that the assailant was trying to behead the second victim. The killer was in the process of being fired, and lashed out murderously at the first people he encountered. Does anybody else remember the killing of Nichole Brown Simpson? She was stabbed to death (by the Real Killers, presumably) in such brutal fashion that her head was nearly severed -- but nobody refers to that hideous crime as a near-beheading. There is no evidence -- yet-- that this was a lone wolf terrorist attack, not that this will placate the people who want to throw Nate Shelman out of Idaho for saying as much during yesterdays program.
