In the list of ‘gender-equality’ of 134 countries, India slips one position down to 114th. This list of the World Economic Forum (WEF) is based on the distribution of the resources and opportunities among men and women. Iceland tops the list. The next 4 positions are occupied by Finland, Norway, Sweden and New Zealand. Among the ‘top-10’ countries, South Africa stands 6th, Denmark-7th, Ireland-8th, the Phillipines-9th and Lesotho-10th.
