In the movie With This Ring, women vowed to find a husband and get married within one year. Earlier this month in Houston, Yasmin Eleby, took things a step further. She had hoped to find a husband by the age of 40. Since she didnt, she had a ceremony to marry herself. The ceremony was complete with a white wedding cake and bridesmaids. Im not sure what this means, exactly. If she meets a potential beau in the future, does it mean she wont get married? Or is she simply saying shes happy in her present state of singleness? If so, I think she could have saved some bucks and gone on a weekend trip with a few friends, but its her money.
