In the original Star Wars movie, now sometimes referred to as Star Wars IV (which I think is ridiculous), why did the Empire spend the entire movie trying to track down the stolen secret plans to the new Death Star, worrying that a weakness might be found in the defenses, rather than just reviewing the plans themselves to make sure that there WERE no weaknesses? And... if there were any weaknesses found, why not use their military forces and technology to reinforce those areas of weakness rather than sending their forces around the galaxy to chase after a few rebels and a couple of robots who were suspected of having the stolen plans? Just a thought!
