In the peak of our unpredictable summer I have managed to convince my personal financial advisor and personal boss (my dear wife) we should consider a cabriolet / convertible as our next grown up car. We have narrowed our choice to A4, BMW3 or at a push Volvo C70 (my personal choice is an A5, but a trifle pricey. But I have a few.questions to ask my good buddies out there who already enjoy open top type driving. 1. How often do you actually manage to get the roof open ? I think I would drive loads, Mrs F not so convinced. 2. Is there anything I should look out for regarding the roof workings? I assume these things are tested to destruction on modern cars, but think they are expensive when it goes wrong. 3. How do they perform versus normal car in the winter for keeping the cold out? Any other views or car options greatly appreciated.
