In the rare occasions that Nicole Shellhorn and I get to go down to campus alone it always reminds me how much The Ohio State University means to me. Obviously it is the place that I had the opportunity to get an amazing education and become part of an amazing alumni association that I have had the opportunity to take advantage of in many parts of the USA and abroad. It is the place that we got to have a once in a lifetime experience of being in school during an improbable National Championship in 2002. But the things that many people dont know are things like me taking my faith and making it my own. OSU challenged me for the first time with many different ideas, comparative religion studies, and people from different cultures. It allowed me to question everything I knew, which in time led me right back to the Truth of Gods love and Jesus Sacrifice... It is the place where Nicki and I learned to be independent...but together. We were bonded through financial struggles, late nights of exhausting studying, which were preceded by long shifts waiting tables or working at the hospital. We only had each other to lean on and that became the basis for our marriage. It is the reason we are as strong as we are now... Of course most people see us wearing Scarlet and Gray and think football...and make no mistake...we love our Buckeyes...but that block O...Mirror Lake, Ohio Stadium, the Oval, and everything else that makes Ohio State so great mean so much more to us...it will always be where our life together truly started...and part of our hearts will always live there... #Buckeye4Life
