In the run up to the 2014 New Orleans run-up election, Im publishing maps on the relative strength of all the candidates in this beautiful city we call home. First up, City Council at Large section 2. In New Orleans, we have a City Council that represents 5 or so districts with an additional two seats elected at-large by the whole city. These seats rotate as acting city council president. Stacy Head (who I dont like, ) won re-election for seat 1, and seat 2 is headed for a run-off election. In these parts, politicians must make over 50% to win outright and if they dont, the top two get sent to a run off. I have my personal favorites in this election but this project isnt about that. Its about my love of politics, my practice with GIS and my wish to encourage voting. Election Day is March 15th. PLEASE VOTE.
