In the song Juicy Biggie says time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade... Was he a prophet? What other eerie examples of this sort of thing can you pin-point in hip-hop? Juicy was a single from Biggies 1994 album Ready to die. At about the 0:50 mark of the song he says the line time to get paid, blow up like the world trade. This album came out 7 years before 9-11 happened. Could this be a coincidence? Was Biggie slanging rhymes and his subconscious prophesied that fateful day 7 years later? A better explanation could be that he was referencing an earlier attack in the early 90s on the world trade centre, where someone parked a van full of explosives in its underground parking lot, I believe. However that incident never really accomplished much, but if thats what he truly was referencing, then kudos to him for throwing out such an obscure thing in a rhyme.. What other sorts of weirdly prophetic stuff have you heard hip hop artists say? *Tupacs prediction of his own demise doesnt count.
