In these last days, more and more people are claiming to be Christian; yet theyre not abiding in the doctrine of Christ. Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. (2 John 1:9) For example, the cults listed below call themselves Christians, yet they each teach heresies denying the doctrine of Christ. Roman Catholic Church teaches other faiths can go to heaven! Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) Mormons teach Adam was Elohim, God in the flesh! For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. (1 Cor. 15:22) 7th Day Adventists teach one must keep the Sabbath to be saved! Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of ... a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. (Col. 2:16-17) Oneness (Apostolic) teaches the Son is the Father! ...He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. (2 John 1:9) Emergent adherents teach everyone goes to heaven! Deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. (1 Cor. 5:5) Church of Christ teaches only those baptized in water are saved! Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? (Acts 10:47) Shepherds Chapel teaches the Trinity (3 Persons) is a lie! For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. (I John 5:7) Word of Faith teaches Jesus is not the only begotten Son of God! He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18) Preterists teach the Resurrection of believers is past! ...Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. (2 Tim. 2:17-18) The above heresies deny the doctrine of Christ!
