In this season of your life, are you a Mary or are you a Martha? Are you like Martha who has invited the Lord into her home (our hearts and lives) but you remain too busy to sit at his feet and listen to what he has to say to you or too busy to seek His face and grow more in Him. Are you chasing after your children, remaining on a hectic schedule, trying to figure out why your spouse isnt where he/she needs to be in Christ, and trying to solve every issue in every relationship, while ignoring the most important relationship, which is the one that you have with Christ? Or are you like Mary, who realized that the only thing that matters is sitting at the feet of her Savior and giving him the attention the he deserves? Even though your house may be in a mess, and you havent gotten to spend as much time with your family as you would like, you still spend time with Jesus because you know that what he speaks to you is of the utmost importance. The Lord said in Luke 10, when Martha questioned Him about Marys behavior, that Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” That is such a powerful statement. If we choose to sit at his feet and seek his face, his presence and his relationship will never be taken away from us, but just like every other relationship, we must choose to nurture it, in order for it to flourish.
