In this vintage interview with Dick Cavett, John Lennon reveals that the U.S. governments efforts to deport himself and Yoko Ono from the country were the least of his troubles. There was sooooo much more to to the story. Here Lennon explains the sneaky, well-organized behind-the-scenes smear campaign which prevented his efforts to accomplish most of the good and charitable works he was trying to do. (After all, who would want to donate money or lend a helping hand to criminals?)
