In what is probably the greatest film of all time (Roadhouse), Dalton makes significant ground in creating a fair and democratic society for the people of Jasper until, in a bid to break Daltons spirit and maintain the evil status quo, the despotic Brad Wesley stops all whisky deliveries to Daltons bar. Dalton could have said no thanks to doing the right thing and given in to fear; instead he endured the death of his best friend, watched a farmhouse explode and nearly kill his folksy landlord, then tore the throat from a self-proclaimed convict-rapist. As well as never being able to sing Flower Of Scotland again unless we want to get laughed at, a no vote will mean we can only watch Roadhouse again if we fully side with Wesley and his rapey sidekick, and see Dalton and Wade Barret as terrorists and trouble-makers. From Wesleys attempt at divide and conquer, which he only bothered to do when he saw Dalton as a threat: Dalton: Youve gotten rich off the people in this town. Wesley: And Im going to get richer.
