In what turned into a rain drenched evening, almost 150 members of the MSP worked to ensure the AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro was safe for everyone. The New England Patriots 45-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts was the culmination of training, hard work, and a vast amount of preparation by the Patriots. The traffic and security concerns for 70,000 fans getting to and from an event like this also involves training, hard work, and preparation. With the concern of protesters attempting to disrupt traffic getting to the stadium, additional troopers were deployed on the major roadways around the stadium. At the end of the game, troopers lined the field with local police and stadium security personnel to ensure the exuberant fans did not attempt to get onto the field. Thank you to all the fans who enjoyed the game in a responsible manner. Thank you to all the personnel that assisted with making this safe and successful. Congratulations to the New England Patriots in an incredible win, and good luck in Super Bowl XLIX.
