Inbox: How can I stop my 13 month old being so clingy? He wants me to carry him every where its really making my back suffer which isnt the best at the minute! He is quite OK with walking He just cries and cries till I pick him up and carry him even when I get him out of his cot in the morning he just cries. Till I pick him up and bring him out! He is the same during the day quite OK walking around all day but screams if he sees me go to walk in the next room to put the washer on etc! He has gotten that bed when I put him in his high chair he cries to the point of being sick if I walk away from it!He used to be finewith all these situations now but Nothing has changed in the circumstances I dunno if its just a phase or because I tried a night of controlled crying not long before? He can be quite happy playing on the floor but if he sees me reading something or doing something he will come and try rip it out my hands get on my knee a few min then go and play again! any ideas How I can stop him being so clingy so I can actually attempt to get things done with out him screaming at my ankles to the point of him almost being sick?
