Inbox My son attends KR Hanchey Elementary in Deridder. He usually gets dropped off @ 3:30ish after school. On Friday he didnt get home until almost 5pm. We tried calling the school and the school board to find out where the bus was, but couldnt het anyone on the phone. When he finally arrived, I asked him what the hell happened and he said that the bus was in a wreck in which substantial damage occurred, Police, fire and all showed up. The school never called and informed the parents. So I called monday. They treated me like shit and wouldnt let me talk to anyone, kept referring me to transportation, wouldnt let me speak to the principal and denying their notification of any accident(BUT THEN SAYING THAT IT WAS ONLY A FENDER BENDER AND THEN GOING BACK TO DENYING ANY KNOWLEDGE OF ANY ACCIDENT) So I went into the office this morning and attempted to speak with the ladies at the desk. They kept saying they dont know the reporting procedure for incidents involving children who attend the school. And that I need to call transportation to figure out what happened. After asking the lady behind the desk to refrain from raising her voice at me, the assistant principle came out and ADMITTED that they were aware of a bus accident ON FRIDAY but were already gone for the weekend, so they didnt call the parents. Does anyone else find this to be unacceptable?
