Inbox Private post please. Weve just realised we have not recived any child benafit payments until this week. Sounds stupid but I was under the impression we were getting 20 a month for our first child so never checked and I rang them and updated our details when our seccond child was born and they said the payment would go up. Turns out we should have been getting 20 a week for first child who is now 2 and extra for seccond who is now 6 months. We have only just realised as a correct payment has gone in. Is it possible to backdate it if I ring directgov? Were pretty skint and wouldnt have been as bad if we had actually recived the payments has anyoune else ever been in this situation? Kelly
