Date of Containment: 08/18/2013 Total Personnel: 1,099 Committed Resources: 27 crews, 48 engines, 5 dozers, 19 water tenders and 6 helicopters Siskiyou County road crews were successful in clearing Sawyers Bar Road near Dougherty Bluff and the road reopened yesterday. Residents should exercise caution when travelling near the fire area. Today’s Actions: Firefighters will mop up, patrol and hold the handlines today to reduce the threat of spot fires. If necessary, crews will continue to burnout from the fires edge down Tanner Ridge toward the Sawyers Bar Road. They will patrol and hold the handline from Yellow Jacket Ridge downhill towards Sawyers Bar Road.
