They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23). WELCOME! HIS HOLINESS POPE FRANCIS! THE DAY POPE FRANCIS, PONTEFIX, “Builder of Bridges THE VICAR OF THE LORD, THE PEOPLES’POPE ARRIVED FOR PASTORAL VISIT IN MANILA – : The 4th Manifestation of the Lord since Christmas Day, December 25, 2014 – the Lord appearing before the Filipino people! POPE FRANCIS THANK YOU SA MALASAKIT! “His compassion fail not. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23). Dear Pope Francis, Your visit to the Philippines demonstrates Gods love to His people in the Philippines manifesting that the Lord is here expressing that He cares and showing His concern for everyone of us, especially the peoples – families who lost some of the lives of their loved ones and livelihood from a series of devastating calamities in the Philippines: typhoons, floods, landslides, earthquake and fires falling the lives and hopes of many lowly people into the pit of a bleak future - of hopelessness. .Your visit brings great joy and hope for us Christians and non-Christians alike: victims of calamities, prisoners who will be free at last! ;Your visit will enliven more our faith in God and will encourage us on to trust Him more, and draw ourselves more closer to Him. (#POPETYSM):“Protektahan ang mga inosente at damayan ang mga nagdurusa.” – Pope Francis, the “Pope for Everyone,” “Ang Pastol Sa Nagbabagong Panahon.” A SECOND CHANCE: “His compassion fail not. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23). On January 15, 2009, 155 people on US Airways Flight 1549 thought they were going to die. During take-off from New York city, their plane struck a flock of geese disabling both engines. In a powerless glide the captain maneuvered over a densely populated area, then announced, “Brace for impact!” Less than 90 seconds later, the crippled plane made a water landing at then frigid Hudson River, where boats and ferries quickly arrived to rescue the passengers and crew, all of whom survived. People called it “the miracle on the Hudson” and praised the pilot and crew. One grateful passenger said simply, “We have a second chance in life.” In times of crisis, we grasp the importance of every hour. During our ordinary routine, however, we often forget that each day is a second chance. “Through the Lord’s mercies, we are not consumed, because His compassion fail not. They are new every morning and great is Your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, therefore I hope in Him! (Lamentation 3:22-24). We can choose to live with thankfulness for God’s mercy and grace, with confidence in His faithful care, and with hope because He is with us forever. Today, God offers us a second chance in life. Let’s make the most of it! OUR GOD IS A GOD OF SECOND CHANCES. – David McCasland. Odb.org./The Night Stalker BIBLIARASAL –“BETHEL” (15 January 2014 Wednesday) DEEPLY ON OUR FAITH:” Jesus takes the time to work with us as individuals with respect for each of our uniqueness.” PRAY for guidance from the Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, speak to me. I wish to receive your Word into my heart. Send forth your spirit to me. Reveal your face to me today. Amen. Alleluia, alleluia! The Word of God is living and effective; discerning reflections and thoughts of the heart. Alleluia, alleluia! BIBLIARASAL –“BETHEL” (15 January 2015 Thursday) HARDEN NOT YOUR HEART: “. . .They have always been of erring heart, and they do not know my ways. . .” (Hebrews 3:7-14). 1ST R EADING: HEBREWS 3:7-14 “The Holy Spirit says:”Oh that today you would hear his voice, “Harden not your hearts as at the rebellion in the day of testing in the desert, where your ancestors tested and tried me and saw my works for forty years. Because of this I was provoked by that generations and I said, “They have always been of erring heart, and they do not know my ways.” As I swore in my wrath, “They shall not enter into my rest.” ‘ “ Take care, brothers, that none of you may have an evil and unfaithful heart, so as to forsake the living God. Encourage yourselves daily while it is still “today,” so that none of you may grow hardened by the deceit of sin. We have become partners of Christ if only we hold the beginning of the reality firm until the end.” REFLECTIONS- “We read an exhortation not to harden our hearts. Hardness of heart can occur in many different ways, It can simply be the refusal to listen to the Word of God either in prayer or in reading the Scriptures. It can also be the deliberate refusal God’s will even though we know what it is He wants us to do. The life of true discipleship is one whereby we are always seeking to discover God’s will and implement it no matter what the consequences may be for us.” BIBLIARASAL –“BETHEL” (15 January 2015 Thursday) KNEEL BEFORE THE LORD:“. . .We are the people he shepherds and the flock he guides. . . .” “(Psalm 95:6-11). PSALM 95:6-11 If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts. “Come, let us bow down in worship; let us kneel before the LORD who made us. For he is our God, and we are the people he shepherds, the flock he guides. Oh, that today you would hear his voice, “Harden not your hearts as at Meribah, as in the day of Massa in the desert, where your fathers tempted me; they tested me though they have seen my works. Forty years I wearied that generation, I said, This peoples’ heart goes astray, and they know not my ways. Therefore I swore in my anger, they shall not enter into my rest.” BIBLIARASAL –“BETHEL” (15 January 2015 Thursday) MAKE ME CLEAN:“. . .Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched him and he was made clean. . .” (Mark 1:40-45). GOSPEL: MARK 1:40-45 “A leper came to him and kneeling begged him and said, “If you wish you can make me clean.”Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched him, and said to him, “I do will it. Be made clean.”The leprosy left him immediately and he was made clean. Then, warning him sternly, he dismissed him at once. Then he said to him, “See that you tell not anyone anything, but go show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them. The man went away and began to publicize the whole matter. He spread the report abroad so it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town openly. He remained outside in deserted places, and people kept coming to him from everywhere. ” REFLECTIONS- READ THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: God’s special verse/thought for me today- LUKE 1-4 REFLECTIONS- THINK: “When healing does not occur, we are forced to rely even more deeply on our faith as we seek to discover the lessons that God is teaching.” PRAY AGAIN-Thank the Lord for His message to you and pray that you may be able to live it out in your daily life. PRAYER: Father, I thank you. Your word is manna to my spirit. May your Word that I received today transform my soul. Make me more like you. Amen. COMPANION – A Catholic Scripture Diary/Bro. Bo Sanchez/ Fr. Steve Tynan/BIBRIARASAL PINOY (“BETHEL”)“ “IT IS IN CHRIST THAT WE FIND OUT WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE ARE LIVING FOR. LONG BEFORE WE FIRST HEARD OF CHRIST. . . HE HAD HIS EYE ON US, HAD DESIGNS ON US FOR GLORIOUS LIVING, PART OF THE OVERALL PURPOSE HE IS WORKING OUT FOR EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE: (Ephesians 1:11). BIBLIARASAL –“BETHEL” (15 January 2015 Thursday) “ CONSTANT COMMUNION WITH GOD:”Through constant conversation: Worship is not an event, it is a perpetual attitude. . .” This is God’s ideal. In Eden, worship was not an event, but a perpetual attitude; Adam and Eve were in constant communion with God. Because God is with us all the time, no place is any closer to God than the place where we are right now. The Bible says, “He rules everything and everywhere and is in everything.” Another of Brother Lawrence’s helpful ideas was to pray shorter conversational prayers continually through the day rather than trying to pray long sessions of complex prayers. To maintain focus and counteract wandering thoughts, he said, “I do not advise you to use great multiplicity of words in prayers, since long discourses are the occasions for wandering.” In an age of attention deficit, this 450-year-old suggestion to make it simple seems particularly relevant. The Bible tells us to “pray all the time”. How is it possible to do this? One way is to use “breath prayers” throughout the day, as many Christians have done for many centuries. You choose a brief sentence or a simple phrase that can be repeated to Jesus in one breath. “You are with me.” “I receive your grace.” “I’m depending on you.” “I want to know you.” “I belong to you.” “Help me trust you.” We can also use a short phrase of Scripture. “For me to live is Christ.” “You will never leave me.” “You are my God.” Pray it often as possible so it is rooted deep in our hearts. Just to be sure our motive is to honor God, not control him. - The Purpose-Driven Life, Rick Warren. ”ALL FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD! FOR EVERYTHING COMES FROM HIM, HAS BEEN MADE BY HIM, AND HAS TO RETURN TO HIM.”(Romans 12:36)” – RBC Miinistries/odb.org/BIBLIARASAL PINOY (“BETHEL”) – Mission: To worship and accept the invitation to us of friendship and fellowship with the Holy Trinity. “I want us to help each other with the faith we have.
