Incredibly proud of our wonderful workforce today. A bleary-eyed band of volunteers started arriving from 6.30 am to finish working on the resurfacing of our car park. Undertaking back breaking work in blistering heat, we completed far more than anticipated in a relatively short period of time and the car park is now looking good with a lot fewer potholes and a nice shiny new entrance courtesy of Gentry-Brown Landscapes - thanks Steve! - PLEASE TAKE CARE WHEN DRIVING to try to preserve this new surface until we have raised the funds to install new drainage and tarmac the whole car park properly. Particular thanks go to Paul the Digger Mann and Jon the Dumper Neal for making two appearances with their dinky toys which made the daunting task a whole lot easier. Also thanks today go to Tracey & Kevin Ager, Nikki & Ali Markham-Lee, Louise Pennell & Fumni, Richard Clifford, Simon Lewis, Andrea & Emmie Cook, Mr Soanes (Jesss Dad), Justin Daw and, of course, Wayne Southby. A special and huge thanks, while were at it, to Phil Morris who has put in hundreds of hours work in the last 2-3 months painting in the common areas, erecting a fence behind the new gym as well as many other manual labour tasks that needed doing. Also to Rebecca Morcombe who has ably assisted Phil with a paint brush too, thank you all. :)
