Independence Day is an annual event commemorating the anniversary of a nations assumption of independent statehood, usually after ceasing to be a group or part of another nation or state. Independence means “freedom from the control, influence, support, and aid of others.” Our Nations Independence is becoming less and less every day. Our government is working hard to control us and influence us by making people dependent on them rather than dependent on God. God is being removed from everything which is allowing Satan to have more and more reign on our Nation and causing it to be more and more difficult to pursue Spiritual independence. As Christians we have to remember that our Spiritual Independence is because of the one who died to set us Free, Jesus Christ and that we are eternally dependent on Him. John 3:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. So while you are celebrating this 4th of July remember to stop and take time to pray. Thank God for all that He has given us and ask Him to restore all that has been taken away from our beautiful Nations Independence. Pray that America can once again be dependent on God and once again be able to say with no fear of defending: I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, One Nation Under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Jesus paid it all! All to Him we owe!
