Independence Police Dept. Thanks for doing your job of nothing to find out who broke out my window and grabbed stuff out of the car, @ BWW with witnesses and a description of the car also for checking the tape at BWW to see who paid and left 20 min before we did. What ever they are getting paid(IPD) it is a waste of taxpayer money. I could not even get a police report for insurance they were just to damn busy solving crimes on sunday afternoon to get me some paper work. I would say fire them all and go to a automated system and let vigilante justice rule. In the 10 min I cleaned out the glass I found out it was two guys in a yellow cobalt if I would have taken more time maybe I could have gotten a lic number. But not being a highly trained IPD maybe I missed something. And to top it all off 911 could not even tell where I was at and when I did talk to someone they could not even transfer me to the IPD then could not even wait for me to get a pen to write that number down. BWW was great they sent out a guy to help clean up the glass got info from people there, BUt from now on I will be doing my drinking and eating anywhere but Independence. Or maybe I could start a crime ring that does smash and grabs in Independence now that I know it is not a crime in that city.
