India has announced immediate medical visa for patients from Bangladesh and other Saarc countries seeking treatment in India and three to five years’ visa for the businessmen. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the announcement at the 18th Saarc Summit that began in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu today. As per the announcement, a patient and one of his/her attendant will be given immediate visa for treatment at any hospital in India. Making his debut in the Saarc Summit, Modi, who took over as PM exactly six months ago, said India has huge trade surpluses with countries of the region but this is neither right nor sustainable.
